Faculty of Humanities

The Faculty of Humanities has three departments, the Department of 买足彩用什么软件 Language Culture, the Department of Japanese Language and Literature and the Department of Arts and Sciences. Although these three departments have their own educational objectives and have established programs to train specialists, the three departments share the same educational objectives in the sense of the acquisition of knowledge and skills related to literature in the broadest sense.

In the Faculty of Humanities, a thesis is compulsory for all departments. In order to examine problems discovered by students, the basic policy of the Faculty of Humanities is to collect information from many sources, and through reading and understanding to acquire the ability to express a written conclusion convincingly.

Based on this fundamental policy, the Faculty of Humanities has adopted an Open Curriculum system, in which all students in all departments can take any courses from all three departments as a standard option.

In addition, we adopted a Cluster System from 2010. A Cluster refers to a group of specialized subjects across departments arranged by a common denominator (such as age and religion).

There are six Clusters. Language Communication, Intercultural Studies I and II, Japanese Studies I and II, and Asian Studies. This is a new approach to help students write a thesis based across Departmental programs.
